🍂 Extra garden waste collection for Vale permit holders 🍂

It will be collected on your normal collection day between 2nd and 13th November 2026.

What you can put out:

âś… Up to four extra sacks per permit, next to your brown bin

âś… Natural garden waste only, such as cut grass, plants and small branches

✅ Standard 60L black refuse-style sacks, with no more than a bin’s worth in total

âś… Sacks left untied, so crews can empty them and check for contaminants

What to avoid:

❌ Bags larger than 60L, including one-tonne builders’ bags. They’re too heavy for crews to lift, so they won’t be collected.

All the waste goes to a facility near Wallingford and is turned into compost for local farmers.

Don’t have a permit yet? You can buy one, valid until March 2027, here: https://www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/vale-of-white-horse-district-council/recycling-rubbish-and-waste/garden-waste/
